In this Chaotic dust
All I ever want to be
is the grains of sand on the sea.

Static. Watching. Observing. Experiencing
Absorbing songs by the birds and the trees
Sprinkling grains of laughter
amongst the whispers of the breeze
Cajoling the stars and the sky
as the sky enjoys the tease
Exploring the diamonds in the sky
while the sun and the moon
play a game of peek-a-boo
Only I am witness to messages in a bottle
unfolding countless dreams
Oh chaotic world!
What will it take

Memories

If I were to think back of the most distinct memory I have of Patti, it would be of her laughing hysterically sitting on the sofa, watching a black and white Tamil movie and screaming out my name, asking me to share the joy she found in that (ridiculous) joke on Sun Tv. I never ever remember finding any of those movies funny. I only remember her laughter. Her laughter was contagious. There were these numerous other times when she would empty the entire concoction of coffee into milk and laugh to herself claiming what a funny being she was! well, to me, she was perfect. The clouds are dark and weary. Complaining?
