This is why I write

I admit it has been a while. I guess it is because I am a little nervous. Nervous to pen down my thoughts. Giving away what runs through this this pendulous crazy mind is a Bold step. That is why i appreciate autobiographies, although I'm pretty sure the words are carefully woven to disguise the true 'I'. Every person has a different reason to write. The concept of keeping a diary has never fascinated me to keep one, maybe you could call it 'day pages', that is the maximum I have written, an update of the day. I usually like describing people, emotions ( mostly when I'm upset, not when I'm happy). I guess I'm selective about the things I want to make transparent. I guess I let my expectations determine my perception, well mostly (is this called selective perception? ). Let me give you an example, purely based on personal experience - Most weddings are hardly about the bride and groom. What takes center stage is catching up with long lost friends or family, coming on time just when dinner is served, how hep the mammoth weighing jewelery looks.. the list is endless. And i thought the pivotal point of this occasion was the bride and groom. Yes expectations affect our perception. Hence getting back to my point after much digression, I think it is difficult for me to pen down my thoughts as I fear letting go of my expectations. But I guess by typing this on my blog today, I am already contradicting my point. Or is it?
